Aldara started playing guitar and drums at the age of seven. Has been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since January 2017. She enjoys working here due to the clean, encouraging, and inspiring environment. Some of her favorite artists are One Republic, HAIM, Patric Johnston, and The Brilliance. Aldara teaches a variety of things such as drums, guitar, and music production! She enjoys teaching because she’s able to inspire others as well as herself. Aldara is in a band called RA RA, so performing live is nothing new for her. When asked what she loved most about it? She’ll respond with this, “I love the energy I get to experience, how I get to share that energy from the music with the crowd while performing.”

BRENDAN STANFORD

Brendan has been playing and exposed to musical instruments since he was five years old, and has been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since June of 2017. His favorite band is Muse and enjoys teaching his students how to play eclectic and acoustic guitar, bass, and beginners piano. If you ask Brendan why he teaches in the first place, he’ll respond with this, “I just want more people to be able to experience the joy of making their own music.” His favorite genres to personally rock out too are Alternative Rock, Stadium Rock, and Glam Rock.

OLIVIA HENNIG

Olivia has been playing music for two years, since around the age of fifteen. Her talent shows far beyond that number. She’s taught at Rehearsal Room since July of this year and really enjoys her job because she loves being able to provide the helpful, supportive, and creative learning environment she didn’t have the opportunity to obtain, when trying to learn herself. Olivia’s favorite bands and artists would have to be Catfish and the Bottleman or artist Maggie Rodgers to name a few. Here at the Rehearsal Room she teaches anything and everything, as well as creativity, which is just as important. If you ask her why she teaches? She’ll respond with, '“Because I enjoy helping kids learn and do things they never thought they could.”

JESSE DAVID

Jesse got his first guitar at age 7. He started really playing when guitar hero came out, around 12-13 years old. He’s been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since January 2017. Growing up his favorite movie was ‘School of Rock’ with Jack Black. Now he is living out that roll. For him, that’s basically a dream come true! As far as his favorite band, he responds with this, “Hands down, ‘Queen’ is the best of all time.” Jesse teaches all sorts of things. Guitar, piano, and drums, just to name a few! He got his degree in music education, where French Horn was his primary instrument. If you ask Jesse why he teaches? He’ll say, “Because I want to share music with as many people as I can. There are few better feelings than being in a song sharing that moment with someone, and I’ve devoted my life to sharing that and honoring that.” Did we mention Jesse is a performer himself? He loves bringing people joy through sharing his gifts. Seeing people smile and bobbing their heads to his music is truly an amazing site.

Jay Edwards

Jay was taught how to sing along with piano at the age of five by his dad. He then learned the drums shortly after, and self taught the guitar. Songwriting and music production was added along the way. He started with us here at the Rehearsal Room in December of 2018. He enjoys our friendly, compassionate atmosphere as well as his co-workers that are just as much his friends. Another awesome part is the student’s he’s been given are so excited and eager to learn about music! which really adds to the joy of his job. Jay’s favorite band and artist, simply stated, “In Her Own Words.” Jay teaches a variety of instruments including drums, piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, and bass as well as songwriting and music production. When asked which artists inspire him the most and why, he responded with this,“I really like alternative and pop punk artists right now (like, Heavy Things, State Champs, Neck Deep, The Maine, and loads more) because there’s so much energy in their music, whether it has a somber tone, or says, “GET UP!” I like positive energy and head-banging, so thats what I dig right now. I also really like their productions, so I listen to albums over and over to study what sounds are used.”
