Aldara started playing guitar and drums at the age of seven. Has been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since January 2017. She enjoys working here due to the clean, encouraging, and inspiring environment. Some of her favorite artists are One Republic, HAIM, Patric Johnston, and The Brilliance. Aldara teaches a variety of things such as drums, guitar, and music production! She enjoys teaching because she’s able to inspire others as well as herself. Aldara is in a band called RA RA, so performing live is nothing new for her. When asked what she loved most about it? She’ll respond with this, “I love the energy I get to experience, how I get to share that energy from the music with the crowd while performing.”
Chris was born into a musical family, he was introduced to various musical styles ranging from classical, opera, to folk, R&B, Soul, Funk, Gospel, Rock, Jazz, Blues etc. His mother is a classically trained pianist and an accomplished vocalist whose love for music transferred to all of her children. Due to the lack of a television, his home was always filled with the sounds of piano, drums, trumpets, guitars, and singing. There was music everywhere - home, school, and church. He began playing trumpet at age 7 and continued to perform in Marching and Symphonic Bands throughout high school. He transitioned to Bass and began performing with local bands in Santa Fe, NM at age 15. He’s been touring internationally since 2003 with Grammy award winning artist Israel and New Breed, Marcos Witt, and many more. He’s balanced teaching and performing music as well as competitive gymnastics for the last 20 years. He considers it a privilege to teach and inspire future generations to pursue their passion fully. We’ve had the honor of having Chris as one of our instructors since Fall of 2018.
Kelly grew up very involved in music and arts. From playing with her worship team to touring the southern and midwestern U.S. states with her hard rock band to musical theater productions, Kelly has a wide variety of experience in the world of music. Theatre is also a huge passion for her. She studied theater performance in NYC and continues to be involved in the theater world. She loves metal, film scores, and musical theatre.
Jesse got his first guitar at age 7. He started really playing when guitar hero came out, around 12-13 years old. He’s been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since January 2017. Growing up his favorite movie was ‘School of Rock’ with Jack Black. Now he is living out that roll. For him, that’s basically a dream come true! As far as his favorite band, he responds with this, “Hands down, ‘Queen’ is the best of all time.” Jesse teaches all sorts of things. Guitar, piano, and drums, just to name a few! He got his degree in music education, where French Horn was his primary instrument. If you ask Jesse why he teaches? He’ll say, “Because I want to share music with as many people as I can. There are few better feelings than being in a song sharing that moment with someone, and I’ve devoted my life to sharing that and honoring that.” Did we mention Jesse is a performer himself? He loves bringing people joy through sharing his gifts. Seeing people smile and bobbing their heads to his music is truly an amazing site.
Emma is a young spirited teacher with a true gift for those who may need a tad more attention and or patience. She’s a joy, and has been with us here at the Rehearsal Room since August of 2018. She teaches guitar, piano, ukulele, bass and voice. If you ask Emma what she believes sets us apart here at R&R she’ll respond with this, “Love the students, love the atmosphere of encouragement instead of competition, its about teams rather than rivals and or rankings.” Some of Emma’s favorite bands/musicians at the moment are “Sleeping at Last” and “Hunter GK Thompson”, and really anything in the Indie/Songwriter genre!
