CAMERON MICHALAK
music instructor
Cameron Michalak's musical journey began in the fourth grade when he started playing the cello in his school’s orchestra. His interest in guitar soon followed, prompting his orchestra teacher to offer after-school lessons. By his freshman year of high school, Cameron transitioned to bass after being invited to join a band, but six months later, his focus shifted to drums. In 2022, he added the keyboard to his repertoire, further broadening his musical skills.
Cameron has performed on stage over 100 times, thanks to his extensive experience in community theater, filling in for indie bands, and assisting School of Rock groups. His uncle’s influence sparked his dream of "becoming a rockstar," and his musical style is shaped by artists like Ghost, Plums, The Killers, The Decemberists, and Periphery. In addition to his instrumental talents, he spent a year in choir and two years in community theater, where he took on lead roles in productions such as Seussical and Legally Blonde.
